The Makana Leadership Development Programme (MLDP) is designed to help leadership teams get people together to make change happen. The focus is very much on the impact leaders have on parental engagement, social change and their ability to make a difference to their community. Under normal circumstances, the programme is delivered face-to-face in school. However, the current restrictions have meant that it can now be delivered remotely via Zoom over a period of time.
The modules can all be delivered in a single day or spread over a period of time. Leaders are then provided with a 4 -6 month 'gap task' to allow them the opportunity to have a go at leading change in their school community, in a supportive and developmental culture. Along the way, participants receive ongoing coaching and telephone/email support.
Course outline includes: Leading Change, Building Culture, Coaching for Improvement and Creating Great Teams, and includes a purposeful, ongoing school improvement activity to be completed over a period of time (e.g. October to May), linked to your existing priorities and needs.
